“Azerbaijan-EU relations are developing in the fields of energy, trade, and technology. More than 1000 companies and business people are participating in Azerbaijan-EU Business Forum,” the Minister of Economy Shahin Mustafayev told reporters, APA reports.
According to him, Azerbaijan is the EU's largest trading partner in the South Caucasus. 78 per cent of EU trade turnover in the South Caucasus belongs to Azerbaijan.
“EU invested more than $ 33 bln in Azerbaijani economy and the investment of Azerbaijan in EU countries’ economy is $ 15 bln,” the Minister stated.
Shahin Mustafayev noted that 1600 European companies operate in Azerbaijan. The number of these companies may further increase: “The potential for the development of relations between Azerbaijan and the European Union is very high."
