Trade turnover increasing by 3.2% exceeds AZN 13 bln. in Baku

In January-August of the current year, the volume of trade turnover in Baku increased by 3.2% compared to the same period of previous year and amounted to AZN 13 141,4 mln., APA-Economics reports citing Baku Statistics Committee.

Foodstuffs, beverages and tobacco products sold at the trade network increased by 3.6% compared to the same period of the previous year and amounted to AZN 5 918,1 mln., while the volume of non-food products increased by 3% amounted to AZN 7 223,3 million.

According to the report, 28.3% of consumer products were sold in entities with legal status, 45.5% - in private property owned by individual entrepreneurs and 26.2% - in capital’s product markets.
