Major part of assets of the State Oil Fund of Azerbaijan (SOFAZ) is in dollar, SOFAZ said in its annual report.
As at the end of 2017, the Fund’s assets amounted to $35,806,500,000, of which 6.7 million was in AZN, remaining part was in other currencies.
Investment portfolio made up $ 35,799,900,000. Of his, $16,868,300,000 or 47.1% was in USD, 35.7% in EUR, 5.1% in GBP, 0.7% in AUD (Australian dollar), 1% in TRY, 1.1% in RUB, 1.3% in KRW (Korean Won), 1.4% in CNY (Chinese Yuan), 15% in JPY (Japan yen), 3.5% in gold and 1.6% in other currencies.
