Azerbaijan gets 7% decline in consumer lending

As of June 1, 2018, Azerbaijan-based credit organizations’ provision of crediting made up AZN 11,945,500,000, down AZN 2,848,500,000 or 19.3% from previous year, Central Bank of Azerbaijan told APA-Economics.

 

Household loans amounted to AZN 4,799,900,000 or 40.2% of provision of crediting, down AZN 365,700,000 or 7.1% compared to a year earlier.

 

Moreover, 16.7% of consumption loans fell to share of trade and services, 9.2% - transport and communication, 5.8% - industry and production, 4.3% - construction and property, 3.9% to agriculture and processing, 2.5% to energy, chemistry and natural resources.
