Azerbaijan gets growth in consumer lending

As of May 1, 2018, Azerbaijan-based credit organizations’ provision of crediting made up AZN 11,815,800,000, down AZN 3,637,700,000 or 23.54% from previous year, Central Bank of Azerbaijan told APA-Economics.

Household loans amounted to AZN 4,689,400,000 or 39.7% of provision of crediting, down AZN 540,800,000 or 10.40% compared to a year earlier.

Moreover, 16.9% of consumption loans fell to share of trade and services, 9.4% - transport and communication, 5.7% - industry and production, 4.4% - construction and property, 3.9% to agriculture and processing, 2.6% to energy, chemistry and natural resources.
