Azerbaijan holds over 7 % of money transfers from Turkey

Baku. Musa Ahmadov – APA-Economics. Uzbekistan ranks first for money transfers from Turkey with the share of 36.9%.

According to the statistics, average sum of money transfers from Turkey to Uzbekistan made up $497.

At the same time, 20.2% of money transfers were directed to Georgia, 15.3% to Kyrgyzstan, 10.6% to Russia and 7.2% to Azerbaijan. Average sum of money transfers to Georgia made up $303, to Kyrgyzstan - $317, to Russia - $598 and to Ukraine - $346.

For volume of money transfers from abroad to Turkey, Russia ranks first with 57.7%. Kazakhstan holds 12.4%, Uzbekistan 9.6%, Tajikistan 7.7%, Kyrgyzstan 6.8%, and Azerbaijan 3.4%.

According to calculations of the World Bank, $815 million was transferred from Turkey in 2014, $850 million in 2015. Money transfers to Turkey made up $1.4 billion in 2015.
