Azerbaijan sees 2.5 times decline in foreign currency transactions

APA reports according to the statistics of the Central Bank, as of November 1, the volume of currency transactions in USD decreased by 2.67 times to $5,015,849,100 from $13,405,778,500 in 2015.

During the foreign currency transactions, $2,695,694,100 were sold in January-October, down 3.83 times compared to the same period of last year. In the ten months of this year, $2,320,155,000 was bought. This figure is 1.33 time less than to the same period of last year.

In the reporting period, the currency transactions in Euro declined 1.49% to € 758,946,200 from €1,131,908,900 in 2015.

Foreign exchange cash in the amount of €495,671,200 were sold in ten months of this year, down 1.86 times compared to the same period of last year. In January-October, €263,275,000 was bought. This figure is 25% more than the same period of last year.
