In January 2018, deposits placed by the population in the banks amounted to AZN 7,497,000,000, of which AZN 2,529.6 million (33.74%) are in national currency, AZN 4,967,400,000 (66.26%) in foreign currency.
Compared to the previous year, the personal savings rose AZN 1,076,900,000 or 74.13%. Savings in foreign currency declined AZN 1,327,100,000 or 21.1%.
Along with this, manat deposits rose AZN 3.3 million or 0.13%, the deposits in foreign currency descended AZN 60.9 million or 1.21% in January.
