Four deputy ministers of economy and industry appointed

Baku. Ramiz Mikayiloglu – APA. Under the order of President Ilham Aliyev, Niyazi Safarov, Sevinj Hasanova, Sahib Mammadov and Sahil Babayev have been appointed as Deputy Ministers of Economy and Industry.

APA reports that Niyazi Safarov and Sevinj Hasanova were Deputy Ministers of Economic Development.

Sahib Mammadov got bachelor’s degree in the “International law” faculty at Kiev State University in 2000, master’s degree in 2001. He graduated from Azerbaijan State Economic University on finance and credit. He started his activity as assistant at EU TACIS program at European Consultants Organisation in 2001, Belgium. He worked as an expert for migration issues at Azerbaijan office of the International Migration Organization in 2002, responsible person for information at Information and Technical Support Office of the European Commission in Azerbaijan in 2003-2004, senior Consultant, sector chief, deputy head of department and head of department at the Ministry of Economic Development in 2004-2007. Since 2009, he has worked as the head of department on developments of the regions and state programs at the Ministry of Economic Development. Under the order of Azerbaijani President dated to 13. 03. 2014 he was appointed as the Deputy Minister of Economy and Industry. Married, has two children.

Sahil Babayev was born in 1980. He got bachelor’s degree at International Law and International relations faculty of the Baku State University in 2000, master’s degree in 2002. He is a Doctor of Philosophy. He worked as senior specialist and department head at SOCAR Foreign Investments Department in 1999-2006, Assistant of the Deputy Chairman of Azerbaijani Parliament in 2006-2009. He had worked as the head of Foreign Investments and Aid Coordination Department of the Ministry of Economic Development since 2009, head of Cooperation with the International Organizations Department since 2011. Under the order of Azerbaijani President dated to 13. 03. 2014 he was appointed as the Deputy Minister of Economy and Industry. Married.

According to regulations of the Ministry of Economy and Industry, the Minister will have 5 deputies.
