As of September 1, 2016, deposits placed by the population in the banks amounted to AZN 6,895,500,000, of which AZN 1,918,400,000 (27.82%) are in national currency, AZN 4,977,100,000 (72.18%) in foreign currency.
Compared to the previous year, the personal savings increased AZN 461,800,000 or 31.7%. Savings in foreign currency decreased AZN 1,498,300,000 or 23.14%.
Along with this, manat deposits increased AZN 96.2 million or 5.3%, the deposits in foreign currency slipped AZN 61.6 million or 1.22% in August.
