When looking into the results of 2016, problems in the banking sector have already stabilized, chairman of Board of Directors of the Financial Markets Supervision Authority Rufat Aslanli said.
According to him, the growth of non-performing assets in banks has stabilized since the middle of last year and we have seen a decline towards the end of the year:
"The intensive dollarization level has slowed down in the country and we no longer see any banks without capital. This allows us to realize second phase actions in order for the financial sector to act as an active financial intermediary with a new function,” he said.
