Economic Research Center: “Inflation on foodstuffs was higher last monthâ€

Baku. Nijat Mustafayev–APA-Economics. Consumer Price Index rose 0.72 percent in Azerbaijan, including 0.44 percent in Baku and 1.09 percent in regions during July, according to the Economic Research Center’s report based on the Alternative Inflation Methodology Development Project.
The price rise was 0.91 percent in foodstuffs, 0.67 percent in nonfoods and 0.29 percent in services.
Price rise was 66.55 percent in greenery, 56.07 percent in melon, 21.77 percent in sugar, 14.74 percent in strawberry, 14.12 percent in cucumber, 13.25 percent in furniture, 11.99 percent in refrigerators, 2.53 percent in cycles, 14.94 percent in food service, 11.09 percent in accommodation. Price deflation was 14.75 percent in tomato, 11.28 in lemon, 11.03 in potato, 6.94 percent in peach and 4.12 percent in wheat flour.
