Azerbaijan faces enormous economic damage

Baku. Nijat Mustafayev – APA-Economics. Oil consulting Company “Caspian Energy Alliance†reports that taking oriented calculations without taxes, duties and additional payments into account, as well as taking an average daily pumping of Azerbaijani oil in volume of 870.000 barrels a day (in July) into account, Azerbaijan (SOCAR and State Oil Fund) loses $50-70 million of direct profits a day because of the transportation halt via Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan named after Heydar Aliyev within Turkey territory. According to the preliminary calculations, for the present day the economic damage that Azerbaijan and foreign parties (to projects on exploration and development of the offshore Azerbaijani fields) faced, totals about $500 million.
