Fares on metro and route buses were increased in Azerbaijan, APA reports.
On January 31, at the session of the Tariff (price) Council, new tariffs for passenger transportation in public transport were approved.
From February 3, the fare for one travel in Baku Metro was set at the rate of 40 gapiks (0,40 AZN).
The upper limit of the tariff for the country is 40 gapiks for intra-city bus routes, 0.40-1.00 AZN for suburban and inter-town bus routes, depending on the distance. On intercity bus routes, the upper limit of the tariff is set at the level of 3 gapiks per 1 kilometer.
