Azerbaijan holds  Economic Council meeting, a task given to amend the 2023 state budget

On April 20, 2023, the next meeting of the Economic Council was held under the leadership of the Chairman of the Economic Council of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Prime Minister Ali Asadov, said the Cabinet of Ministers, APA reports.

The meeting agenda includes the tasks assigned to the Government by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Mr. Ilham Aliyev, for the revision (correction) of the state budget for 2023, taking into account the current positive results of our national economy, the macroeconomic situation, performance indicators of the state budget revenues exceeding the forecast for the first quarter of the current year, including, Medium-term Expenditure Framework and overview and forecasts of state budgets for 2024 and the next three years, financial provision for "Implementation of the I State Program on the Great Return to the liberated territories of the Republic of Azerbaijan" and other issues were widely discussed.

At the meeting, the report of Finance Minister Samir Sharifov and the opinions and proposals of Council members were heard.

At the end of the meeting, the appropriate bodies were given relevant instructions on preparing additional amendments to the state budget for 2023 and submitting them to the president of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
