Azerbaijan writes off bank loans of servicemen who martyred while preventing Armenian provocation

Azerbaijan Banks Association (ABA) Presidium held a meeting on September 16, 2022, APA-Economics reports citing ABA.

During the meeting, ABA members discussed writing off the full volume of all types of credit liabilities of servicemen who were martyred in the provocation of Armenian provocation on September 12.

As a result of the discussions, they voted for writing off all types of bank loans of servicemen who martyred while preventing Armenian provocation.

They stated that they are ready to participate in the establishment of modern banking and financial infrastructure in Azerbaijan's liberated lands with all resources and they will continue to show sensitivity to martyr families and veterans, as well as servicemen who served during the liberation of our homeland from the enemy guided by tasks of President of Azerbaijan and recommendations of Central Bank of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

Note that, ABA was established by commercial banks in 1990. The main purpose of ABA is to represent member organizations, help them meeting their needs for the various types of business services and link their activities. 26 banks and 5 non-bank organizations are currently members of ABA.
