In the first quarter of this year the total amount of foreign investments in the form of foreign direct investment in Azerbaijan increased by 28.7% to AZN 1.8 billion, APA-Economics reports citing Azerbaijan’s Central Bank.
According to the information, the share of the oil and gas sector in direct foreign investments invested in the country’s economy made up 59%. According to the assessments, the total amount of direct foreign investments involved in the non-oil sector was USD 735.2 mln. (4.9 times increase).
