Azerbaijan's trade surplus with the UK grew by up to ninefold

In the first term of this year, the volume of Azerbaijan's trade turnover with Great Britain has made up USD 178 575 mln and this is 10,1% more in comparison to the analogical period of 2021, APA-Economics reports citing the State Customs Committee.

In the reporting period, export from Azerbaijan to Great Britain has made up AZN 130 948 mln increasing by 52,3% in comparison to the analogical period of the previous year. 95,9% of the export has fallen to the share of oil and oil products. The volume of imports has lowered to USD 47 626 mln decreasing by 37,5% in annual comparison.

Consequently, 83,3 mln dollars of the positive balance occurred in January-March of 2022 and this increased by 8,6 times in annual comparison.
