More than 300,000 people living in Azerbaijan's second-largest city will benefit from improving the urban environment through cooperation between the Ganja City Executive Power and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), APA reports citing Ganja Executive Power.
The € 10 million loans will be used to implement smart waste collection and route optimization systems. New container types, improvement of the existing waste fleet, and the introduction of more "green" vehicles will significantly reduce the carbon footprint in the city's utilities.
