"Fight against corruption develops the equality and the unity of nations," said Ivo Josipović, who was the Former President of Croatia from 2010-2015, at the event "Reconstruction, Reconciliation and Integration: Energy, Economy, Environment and Equity" held under the organization of Nizami Ganjavi International Center (NGIC) in Shusha, APA reports.

He said that corruption weakens the foundations of countries: "There are various institutions and organizations that are fighting this situation. The fight against corruption has been strengthened in many countries around the world, especially in Croatia as well as in Italy and Greece. Judges also play a key role in the fight against corruption, and they see themselves as a part of this fight. In general, the fight against corruption should play a special role in the system. Of course, digital applications are also possible in this field. The public, as well as the media, should support this. These are important in the fight against corruption, which Croatia already has experience with. Croatia has come a long way in the fight against this crime. International influences also play an important and special role here. I want to emphasize once again that one of the factors hindering the development of the economy is corruption, and everyone should be active in fighting it."
