Import customs duties of raw materials for local production in Azerbaijan to be optimized

Import customs duties on raw materials will be optimized in order to boost the competitiveness of local production in Azerbaijan, it was discussed at a meeting of the Economic Council, the Cabinet of Ministers told APA.

Noted that "optimization of import customs duties of raw materials and intermediate goods in order to increase the competitiveness of local production arising from the implementation of the Action Plan of the Social-Economic Development Strategy of the Republic of Azerbaijan in 2022-2026" was discussed in detail at the meeting.

At the end of the meeting, appropriate decisions on the issues discussed were made, and tasks were given to the relevant institutions.
