Despite reducing effects of seasonal factors, inflation in Azerbaijan was 0.9% in August, Azerbaijani Central Bank told APA-Economics.
In addition to the increase in the price of non-food and services, the 1.2% increase in the price of food products determined the monthly inflation.
In August 2022, annual inflation was 14.2%, while average annual inflation was 13.2%. Base inflation was annually 12.1%, and on average annually 10.2%.
An increase in the prices of food products influenced the rise of the total inflation level. In August, 9.1 percentage points for food, 2.1 percentage points for non-food, and 3.1 percentage points of changes in prices and tariffs of services contributed to the annual inflation.
