Minister: 60 percent of funds allocated from budget for restoration of Karabakh and East Zangazur has already been used

“The dream of the national leader, whose 100th anniversary we celebrate with great respect, to return to Karabakh is being fulfilled,” said Azerbaijan’s Minister of Finance Samir Sharifov during the discussion of the amendment proposed to the law on the state budget of the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2023 at the meeting of the Milli Majlis, APA reports.

According to the minister, reconstruction of the liberated areas from the occupation in Karabakh and East Zangazur is our new mission: “President Ilham Aliyev mobilized Azerbaijani people to realize this mission. This mission consists of executing the Great Return program. As a result of this, these areas will also be reintegrated into Azerbaijan’s economy. The foundation of major projects in Karabakh and East Zangazur is laid, and some part of these projects has already been completed and put into operation. AZN 3 bln. was approved in the state budget for 2023 for the restoration of these areas. 60 percent of this fund has already been spent.”
