Vagif Sadıgov: Azerbaijan team did not score one point but lost two to Kazakhstan
07 June 2007 11:53 (UTC +04:00)
“We didn’t score one point but lost two in the match against Kazakhstanâ€, Vagif Sadigov, former Azerbaijan squad head coach, told APA-Sport.
Sadigov stated that our team failed to gain first victory in official visit match.
“We were very close to gain victory but we failed. There are both objective and subjective reasons. Tiredness and loss in the team had obvious impact. Head coach replaced 4 footballers in line-up compared to previous against Polandâ€, he said.
Though Kazakhstan played most time in minority, it managed to equalize the score. Sadigov explained captain Aslan Kerimov’s blunder in goal episode with his injury.
“Injury didn’t let Aslan Kerimov play with all strength. Despite the draw our team ruled the game from the beginning. We will have a fighting teamâ€, he said. /APA-Sport/
