The hunt for a new midfielder in the January transfer window continues for Newcastle as Eddie Howe remains desperate for new additions to aid his side in their bid to beat the drop, APA reports citing Mirror.
And the Magpies have reportedly received a huge boost in their pursuit of Wales international Aaron Ramsey, who had initially turned down an offer to join the club.
Only last week was it revealed that Ramsey had rejected offers from a number of Premier League clubs in the hope of joining Crystal Palace, but after refusing to give up on the situation, the Magpies could be about to capture their man.
Juventus are keen to offload the 31-year-old after a hit and miss tenure in Turin, and a Premier League return has seemed inevitable.
And according to the Telegraph, Ramsey and his representatives have had a change of heart over a move to the northeast to give Howe a huge boost in his search for a new midfielder.
