Alave’s player detained by Spanish police due to domestic violence

The new central defender of Alavés Olivier Verdon (23 years old), lived one night in detention, this Wednesday, after being arrested on the side of Vitoria, APA reports citing News 1.

Released, waiting to be summoned to court, Verdon will be tried in a case of violence against his girlfriend, after an argument in a hotel in Spain. Eyewitnesses also told police that the perpetrator dragged the victim by the hair several meters from the hotel room to the corridor.

Note that Verdon was from Republic of Benin and played for French clubs. At the last season, he played in 30 matchs od League-2 and scored 2 goals in the staff of FC Sochaux-Montbéliard
