A bus carrying players of the Bulgarian national football team crashed upon its international fixture in the Georgian capital of Tbilisi, the Bulgarian Football Union (BFU) announced on Saturday, APA reports citing TASS.
According to the BFU, cited by Bulgaria Postsen, web portal: "The Bulgarian national team suffered a serious traffic accident after arriving in Tbilisi."
"On the way to the team’s hotel, the driver of the first of the two buses carrying our team lost control of the vehicle, resulting in a serious accident," the web portal reads in its statement. "After the collision, [midfielder] Todor Nedelev was transported to a local hospital, where he is currently undergoing extensive research."
"All other members of the team and the staff of the Bulgarian national team are fine," the statement added.
