International football association FIFA decided on Tuesday to allow foreign football players and coaches in Russia and Ukraine to suspend contracts with domestic clubs for one year and leave the countries until the end of June next year, APA reports citing Tele Trader.

FIFA renewed the decision due to Russia's attack on Ukraine, saying all footballers and coaches will be able to suspend their participation in the Russian Premier League or the Ukrainian Premier League during the entire 2022/2023 season without sanctions if they are unable to reach mutual agreements with their clubs.

"FIFA also continues to condemn the ongoing use of force by Russia in Ukraine and calls for a rapid cessation of the war and a return to peace," the official statement concluded.
