Türkiye's Galatasaray defeats Azerbaijan’s FC Qarabag with a score of 2-1 in a charity football match held in Baku Olympic Stadium, APA reports.
Galatasaray's Bafétimbi Gomis scored the first goal at the beginning of the match (4'). Qarabag's Redon Xhixha shook the net and equalized the score (19').
Mauro Icardi, who came on as a substitute for Gomis, scored a penalty and restored the advantage for Galatasaray (87').
Note that all proceeds from the friendly match, will be donated to those impacted by the Feb. 6 quakes that rocked 11 Turkish provinces and killed over 48,000 people.
