The Azerbaijan Gymnastics Federation (AGF) has been awarded the first place in the list of the “Awarded federations” of the International Gymnastics Federation (FIG), the AGF told apasport.az website.
Based on the outcomes of 2019, the institution didn’t cede leadership again.
Last year, the high-level hosting by AGF of the World Cup in 3 branches of gymnastics, the world championship in rhythmic gymnastics, the couch training courses of FIG Academy in men’s artistic gymnastics, trampoline and aerobics, international competitions and other events, as well as the AGF’s disciplined registration and proactive participation in the competitions in 7 competitive branches of gymnastics recognized by FIG was once again highly appreciated.
The Azerbaijan Gymnastics Federation led by the country’s First vice president Mrs. Mehriban Aliyeva since 2002 consistently settled down in the ranks of the 10 strongest federations in 2014, 2015 and 2016 and in the first place in 2017 and 2018 in the rating list of this international institution bringing together 148 federations.
