Azerbaijan Premier League ranks 40th in the world

List of leagues, in which young football players get more opportunities, have been announced, APA-Sport reports.

CIES Football Observatory has prepared a report on football players under 21, performing in high leagues of 80 countries in recent 5 years in the world.

Azerbaijan Premier League has also been on the table. CIES has conducted calculations in accordance with 604 matches held in the last 5 years in our championship.

13.7% of players in these matches are the young. There is a role of limit in the high level of the figure too. One player must be under 21 in the staff of every football club in our championship. If it is already 11.1%, our clubs realized more than it.

It is the 40th result among 80 leagues of the world. The record belongs to Estonia. 31.1% of players in the square is the young in Baltic state. 27.2% of players are under 21 in Latvia, while 26.4% in Slovenia.
