The Azerbaijan national team in triathlon joined the first competition after the hiatus associated with coronavirus pandemic, the Azerbaijan Triathlon Federation told apasport.az website.
The resumption of the season turned out to be lucky for our athlete.
Our representative Rostislav Pevtsov tried his strength in the Ukraine open championship in the sprint involving 50 athletes. The nationalized legionary elected as the best tri-athlete of Europe, has won silver medal.
Note that our combined triathlon team whose plans were disrupted because of coronavirus, has been undergoing training in Ukraine for several months. Our national team will complete abroad its preparation for the European championship that will be held in Tartu City of Estonia during August 28-30.
