Fenerbahce earned a narrow win against Caykur Rizespor on a Saturday clash in Turkish Super Lig match to top the league, APA reports citing Anadolu.

Home team Fenerbahce's Ecuadoran winger Enner Valencia scored the only goal of the match, a beautiful freekick goal that got bounced off the keeper to get in.

Leaders Fenerbahce now have 45 points in 21 matches.

On Sunday, currently second-place Besiktas, having 44 points, will host Trabzonspor at Vodafone Park.

Fenerbahce's winter signing Bright Osayi-Samuel made his debut in Rizespor match.

Former Queens Park Rangers winger Osayi-Samuel played in the second half.

Meanwhile Fenerbahce's Greek midfielder Dimitris Pelkas was injured and left the pitch in the minute 61. Turkish player Mert Hakan Yandas was subbed in.

Rizespor manager Marius Sumudica was sent off in the 70th minute after protesting the referee.
