Azerbaijani national team loses its position in FIFA rating

FİFA has announced rating list of national teams, APA reports.

211 national teams have been placed to the list.

Azerbaijani National Team occupies 110th place with 1188 points. Our team shares this place with Bahrain.

National team under Nikola Yurchevich’s coaching has dropped two places in the list announced on April 4.

The reason for the drop was the results of two games. Our national team faced defeat by Hungary with 1:3 score on June 8 and Slovakia with 1:5, three days after. Two games lost resulted in 14 points loss of national team.

Note that leaders of the list Belgium (1746), France (1718) and Brazil (1681) have maintained their position. Our neighbor Turkish National Team moved forüard and took 37th place with 1467 points.
