UEFA includes Baku Olympic Stadium in the list of elite stadiums

Baku Olympic Stadium has been included in the list of elite stadiums of UEFA, APA reports.

An honorary diploma has been given to the management of the arena in this regard.

The high-level organization of the final match of the Europa League on May 29 has played a great role being of Azerbaijan's largest sporting equipment in the same list with famous stadiums such as Stadium Arena, Aviva Stadium, Nou Camp and Santiago Bernabeu.

Baku has proved that it is always ready for more prestigious sports events at the end of the night that was organized with the support of Professional organization of the Local Operations Committee and AFFA staff, high-security arrangements of law enforcement agencies, mass media representatives, volunteers' spectrum services, and support of fans filling the stadium. This also has been a matter of UEFA’s attention.

Baku Olimpic Stadium, that launched from 2015 and hosted at least one international tournament each year has been awarded from the organization.

Note that Baku Olympic Stadium will host four UEFA EURO 2020 games to be held in 12 different stadiums on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the UEFA.
