7 more citizens of Kazakhstan sent off from Azerbaijan to their country

Due to closure of borders for passengers because of threat of spread of COVID-19 pandemic, 14 Azerbaijani, 7 Kazakh and 1 Georgian citizens who were stranded in Azerbaijan and have the right to live in that country have been sent off to Kazakhstan today, Baku Port told APA-Economics.

As always, the citizens sent off on Mercury 1 ferry boat owned by Azerbaijan Caspian Sea Shipping CJSC passed through test against virus in connection with COVID-19 pandemic at Baku Port and all passengers tested negative for the coronavirus.

Remind that from May 13 of the current year, new rules of border crossing during quarantine period became valid in Kazakhstan and for this reason, Kuryk port resumed admission of the country’s citizens and the foreign citizens who have permission to live in the country. While, during the recent 5 months, a total of 240 Kazakh citizens and citizens of 159 foreign countries were sent off from Baku Port.
