“This crisis requires taking firmly grounded collective steps. These steps should be taken at both regional and global levels. The mankind should jointly stand against and counter this crisis", the Afghan President Ashraf Ghani said at the Summit of the NAM's Contact Group which held through videoconference under the motto "United against COVID-19" focused on the fight against coronavirus pandemic, APA reports.
A. Ghani said currently the researches are being conducted in various countries for finding a vaccine against this virus: "I thank all medical workers being at frontline and the researchers conducting the researches”.
He noted thathe Afghan government fulfills all obligations falling on it at both local, regional and international levels.
A. Ghani said the relevant steps are being taken in his country in the framework of fight against COVID-19, and the works are being implemented in the area of determination of sensitive groups of population and provision of support to them: “This pandemic and its impacts are directed against the whole humanity, therefore the strategic plan should be prepared for the fight against it".
