
Assistant to President: “Armenia may turn to a transit country and it will be a factor which will strengthen long-term peace”

“We have the potential to further develop relations between Azerbaijan and Turkey within the framework of TAP, TANAP, Baku-Tbilisi-Kars, Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan, Baku-Tbilisi-Erzurum projects,” said Hikmet Hajiyev, Assistant to the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Head of the Foreign Policy Department of the Presidential Administration of the Republic of Azerbaijan at a webinar titled "The next 10 years of Azerbaijan-Turkey relations" organized by the Center for International Relations Analysis and the Turkish Foundation for Political, Economic and Social Studies (SETA), APA reports.
H.Hajiyev noted that the Azerbaijani-Turkish union has also led to the development of Georgia: “Armenia can also benefit from cooperation between Azerbaijan and Turkey. The opening of a communication line from Mehri to Nakhchivan will also be discussed in the coming days. Armenia may turn into a transit country here. As a result, this will be a factor which will strengthen long-term peace in the region.”
