Azerbaijan's Embassy to Russia releases information on killing Azerbaijani student in Volgograd

Azerbaijani Embassy to Russia has released information on killing Azerbaijani student in Volgograd on June 13, press service of the Embassy told APA's Moscow correspondent.

The information reads: "An official letter has been sent by us to the Head Office of Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation on Volgograd, as the Embassy received information on killing citizen of the Republic of Azerbaijan Timur Valeri Gavrilov, studying in Volgograd city of Russia, on June 13, 2020.

In addition, on June 14 of the current year, the Embassy contacted with deceased's mother who lives in Ganja and investigators of the Volgograd Region Head Office of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation.

We inform that the criminal case has been launched in connection with the incident and the issue is under the strict control of the Embassy.

Additional information on the progress of the investigation will be given to the public.”
