Azerbaijan’s MFA: Azerbaijan does not recognize results of so-called “presidential elections” held in Abkhazia

Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs has disseminated a statement regarding the so-called presidential elections held on March 22, 2020 in Georgia’s Abkhazia region, the MFA’s press service told APA.

The statement says the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Azerbaijan Republic once again confirms its support for sovereignty and territorial integrity of Georgia and does not recognize the so-called “presidential elections” held on March 22, 2020 in Georgia’s Abkhazia region and the results of those elections: "Azerbaijan’s MFA considers important the continuation of the negotiations for peaceful solution of Abkhazia problem in accordance with norms and principles of international law".
