A joint Media Platform has been established between Azerbaijan and Turkey, APA reports.

The draft law "On approval of the Memorandum of Understanding between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republic of Turkey on strategic cooperation in the field of media" has been discussed at today's meeting of the Milli Majlis.

According to the document, the aim of the Joint Media Platform is to establish strategic media partnerships through strengthening the Azerbaijan-Turkish bilateral relations and cooperation in the field of media and communication. The establishment of a health media network between two countries within the framework of the platform will be implemented by the following methods:

-Sharing knowledge, experience, and resources in the media field;

-Conducting joint works with the official bodies of the two countries operating media field;

-Joint fight against disinformation which can be seen in the international arena and proper informing of the world community;

-Conducting joint works in the field of TV and cinema;

-Building partnerships with various media and sector representatives;

-Organizing vocational education and exchange programs;

-Building a bridge of communication between the leaders of the two countries.
