Azerbaijan allocates aid amounting to 500 thousand Euros to Albania due to earthquake

The Azerbaijani Cabinet of Ministers has issued an order “On allocation of resources to Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan Republic in order to provide humanitarian aid to the people having suffered from the natural disaster which occurred in the Albanian Republic”, APA reports.

It is mentioned in the order that in order to provide humanitarian aid to the people having suffered from the natural disaster which occurred in the Albanian Republic on November 26 of the current year, the funds in the amount of 500 thousand Euros should be allocated to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan Republic from the Reserve Fund envisaged in the state budget of Azerbaijan Republic for 2019.

The Ministry of Finance has been charged with the task of payment of the above-mentioned funds according to the defined procedure.

Note that up to 50 people have died as a result of the 6.4 magnitude earthquake occurred in Albania. Significant number of people has been trapped under the destructed buildings. The search and rescue works are being continued.
