Azerbaijan’s delegation to the Asian Parliamentary Assembly (APA) has sent an appeal to the member countries of the organization regarding the consolidation of joint efforts in the fight against Covid-19, APA reports.
The appeal sent by the head of the Azerbaijani delegation to the Asian Parliamentary Assembly Ganira Pashayeva has been distributed to all member countries by the general secretariat of the organization.
It is stressed in the appeal that the global COVID-19 pandemic exerts a negative influence on all countries of the world: “It is important to share the experience, information and scientific knowledge gained during the fight against the virus and to provide assistance to the needy countries. We can win the fight against COVID-19 only by mutual support, self-protection, and joint efforts. We should demonstrate that we are the states serving great targets by working together. Taking into consideration the existing situation, we – the Azerbaijani delegation to the Asian Parliamentary Assembly would like to come up with the initiative of convening the online meeting of the Asian Parliamentary Assembly states in order to share our experiences in the area of fight against the pandemic”.
