Azerbaijani FM: “We support completion of the agreement with EU and entry into force”

“In connection with the coronavirus pandemic, while looking at trade turnover, investment issue, we see that there are enough opportunities in this field between Azerbaijan and Sweeden and attention should be paid to this,” said Azerbaijani FM Jeyhun Bayramov at the press conference following the meeting with the Minister for Foreign Affairs of Sweden Chairperson-in-Office of the OSCE Ann Linde, APA reports.

Azerbaijani FM noted that cooperation between Azerbaijan and Sweden on a multilateral platform was also discussed at today's meeting: “Sweden has always been active in increasing the interest and activity of the European Union in this region. Completion of the bilateral agreements with the European Union is also important for our country. Azerbaijan is the only country in the Eastern Partnership states that have signed strategic partnership agreements with nine EU countries. We support the completion and entry into force of this agreement, taking into account the principles of mutual interest and usefulness with the European Union.”
