On December 24, 2020, the Chamber of Deputies of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg has adopted a biased resolution regarding Azerbaijan’s Karabakh region liberated from occupation. The resolution, put forward by Claude Wiseler, a pro-Armenian member of the Christian-Socialist Political Party, distorts the truth about the situation in the region and makes groundless accusations against Azerbaijan and Turkey, the press service of the Azerbaijani Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) told APA.

Although the resolution does not have a legal force, the Luxembourg Parliament's adoption of documents contrary to international law and UN Security Council resolutions, putting forward wrong charges without studying the situation in the region show the biased position of the body: “If members of Luxembourg legislative body thought of future of the region, as well as Armenia, then they would promote the execution of trilateral statement dated November 10, opinions of getting benefit from new cooperation opportunities for the establishment of peace, security, and welfare in the region. But it seems that the Luxembourg Parliament is interested in incitement of enmity between the region countries, but not in a new situation, appeared with a resolution of the long-lasted conflict in the region, implementation of UN SC resolutions, restoration of rights of internally-displaced people, whose fundamental right was violated for tens of years.
