Azerbaijani and Pakistani FMs meet in Dushanbe - UPDATED

On March 30, 2021 in the framework of the 9th Ministerial Conference of the “Heart of Asia – Istanbul Process” held in Dushanbe a meeting was held between Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Makhdoom Shah Mahmood Qureshi, press service of Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry told APA.

The sides discussed issues of bilateral cooperation between Azerbaijan and Pakistan, including the prospects of cooperation between the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan and companies of Pakistan, as well as bilateral cooperation in the field of civil aviation.

Noting the importance of expanding economic cooperation between Azerbaijan and Pakistan, the sides stressed the significance of holding the next meeting of the intergovernmental commission on trade and economic cooperation in Baku.

The Ministers also stressed the importance of developing inter-parliamentary relations.

The sides exchanged views on other issues of mutual interest.

Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov and his Pakistani counterpart Shah Mahmood Qureshi has met, the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan said, APA reports.

The meeting has taken place within the framework of “Heart of Asia – Istanbul Process” 9th Ministerial Conference held in Dushanbe.

The Ministers have discussed the priority areas in the bilateral agenda including intensifying economical engagement and people to people contacts during the meeting.
