“Intensive work is being carried out on new agreement to signed between Azerbaijan and European Union (EU) for a long time,” Azerbaijani deputy foreign minister Khalaf Khalafov told APA.

The deputy minister stated the key issues in connection with the draft agreement have almost been agreed upon.

“There are still some uncoordinated  issues on the draft agreement. Political and security issues have fully been agreed. Provisions concerning trade and economic matters should be clarified. Contacts between Azerbaijan government and the European Commission will be continued regarding this,” Khalaf Khalafov stated.
