Chairman of Pakistan’s National Assembly: "Armenia should stop military operations in order not to escalate situation even more"

The letters condemning another military aggression of Armenia against Azerbaijan on behalf of parliaments of foreign countries continue to come in the address of Chairman of the Azerbaijani Parliament Sahiba Gafarova, the Press and public relations department of the Azerbaijani Parliament told APA.

These days, the purposeful violation of the ceasefire regime and infliction of fire on Azerbaijan’s civilian people by the Armenian armed forces were condemned in the letter addressed by Chairman of the National Assembly of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Asad Qaiser to the Chairman of the Azerbaijani Parliament.

The letter says the targeting of Azerbaijan’s civilian people by the Armenian armed forces cause serious concern. Such actions are the fact of violation of the UN Statutes and the international humanitarian law. Pakistan doesn’t recognize Armenia as a state and Pakistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed its concern regarding escalation of situation in the area of security in Nagorno Garabagh region.

The Chairman of Pakistan’s National Assembly condemns in his letter Armenia’s aggression against the Azerbaijani people and says Pakistan’s Parliament, Government and people support the fraternal Azerbaijani people’s right to self-defense. Pakistan will also stand by Azerbaijan from now on in solution of Nagorno Garabagh conflict with Azerbaijan’s position based on the UN Security Council resolutions.
