Commemorative event dedicated to Khojaly genocide held at NATO Headquarters

A commemorative event dedicated to the 29th anniversary of the Khojaly genocide has been held in NATO Headquarters by Representation of the Republic of Azerbaijan to NATO, the Representation told APA.

The event has been attended by the members of diplomatic missions accredited to NATO. Gaya Mammadov, head of the Representation gave information about occupation and ethnic cleansing of Armenia against Azerbaijan after the independence of the Republic of Azerbaijan in 1991. He noted that the massacre committed to civilians of Khojaly city by the Armenian army in the night of February 25-26, 1992, is a deliberate act of genocide in order to implement a large-scale ethnic cleansing policy.
