Embassy: Issue related to sale of arms by Serbia to Armenia being seriously investigated

The Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan to the Republic of Serbia issued a statement regarding use of weapons and ammunition manufactured in Serbia during the attack operations of the Armenian armed forces on the site of Tovuz region of Azerbaijan-Armenia border, APA reports.

According to relevant instructions of the Presidential Administration and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Azerbaijan Republic, the Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan to the Republic of Serbia states that the official appeals have been made to the Serbian President’s Administration, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Serbia and other concerned state agencies of the country regarding clarification of and lending clarity to this issue related to use of weapons and ammunition manufactured in Serbia during the offensive operations of the Armenian armed forces on the site of Tovuz region of Azerbaijan-Armenia border, and the intensive meetings are being held.

“In connection with this issue, the temporary charge d’affaires of the Republic of Serbia to the Republic of Azerbaijan has been summoned to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, and the discontent of the Azerbaijani state has been brought to his notice. Currently, the serious investigations are objectively conducted by instruction of the Serbian leaders and after obtaining of information, the official statement will be made to the wide public”, is stressed in the report.
